Shiren 1 DS:Fay's Puzzle: Canal Trap

Canal Trap (Japanese: ???) is one of the 50 Fay's Puzzles in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Solution

The Egg Thing is of no harm to Shiren.

1. Move downwards and pick up the Staff of Paralysis.
2. Continue left around the body of water until Shiren is in line with the Gather that has moved into the bridge of the island surrounded by water.
3. Swing the Staff of Paralysis facing the monster. This will prevent the other mobile monsters from approaching while moving to the stairs.

Things To Be Learned

• Swinging a Staff of Paralysis with charges at a monster will Paralyze it indefinitely, until interacted with. The Staff can also be thrown, though this may miss and will waste any additional charges on the staff.

Position to paralyze the eastern Gather.

• Paralyzed Monsters will block other entities.
• Areas of water will block most types of monsters and Shiren.
