This Buried Relic page is about the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS release. For the Nintendo Switch release, see Rescue Team DX:Buried Relic.
For the lore page, see Pkmn:Buried Relic.

Buried Relic (Japanese: ちてい いせき, Underground Ruins) is a Post-Credits dungeon in Red and Blue Rescue Team. It can be possible to gain access to Buried Relic as early as completing Stormy Sea. The player must have gotten the mail with the title "Buried Relic Discovered!", read it, and then went into the Pokémon Square and talk to Lombre and Shiftry.

Monster Houses and weather conditions can occur on any floor, and floors 14 onward are mostly shrouded in darkness. Buried items can commonly be found within the dungeon, and three major HMs can be found as well. HM Rock Smash can be found on Floor 45, HM Strength on Floor 60, HM Flash on Floor 70 and HM Cut on Floor 80. Flash, Rock Smash and Cut (who also requires a Pokémon that can pass through water) require a key to obtain, whilst Strength requires a Pokémon with mobility or the ability to smash through walls to obtain.

Regirock, Regice and Registeel are the bosses of this dungeon (Floors 15, 25 and 35 respectively), whilst Mew can be found anywhere from Floor 36 onward to Floor 98. All four of them can be recruited if the player has the Music Box in their inventory, which can be obtained by collecting the Rock Part, Ice Part and Steel Part (which will then automatically combine into the Music Box if all three parts are in the Toolbox inventory).

Plot

When the player gets the mail regarding Buried Relic, it will relay that after the events of the main story a piece of the meteor that Rayquaza had destroyed damaged an ancient site, unveiling Buried Relic. The player then goes into Town Square, where everyone is talking about the newly discovered ancient dungeon.

Upon talking to Lombre and Shiftry, they give the player access to Buried Relic.

On September 11, 2019, the Gamepedia Shiren the Wanderer Wiki became the Gamepedia Mystery Dungeon Wiki. As part of the unification project between Fandom and Gamepedia, we absorbed the Rescue Team Wiki and its page histories. Some pages were originally deemed unworthy of being imported and were left behind. We've since imported them with the intent to preserve the edits and history of this community and its contributions, as well as to build upon them. In some cases, these pages have been created again by editors of the MDFW, and the Rescue Team page histories were imported into them at a later date. You can check if this is the case by visiting the page's history.
