Pkmn:Fossil Pokémon

Fossil Pokémon (Japanese: 化石 ポケモン) are Pokémon traditionally revived from fossils in the main-series Pokémon games. The extent of Human influence over the fossil Pokémon or the Pokémon World is unknown and remains one of the Unanswered Lore Questions. However, through in-game dialogue, descriptions, and so on, it's known that humans do/did exist and that fossil Pokémon have been revived by them.
Omanyte directly states that it was revived from a fossil and Anorith says it was told that it was revived from a fossil, but doesn't specify who made the claim in their Dungeon Dialogue in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

Trivia
- Despite claiming to have memories of "100,000,000 years ago", Relicanth is not actually a fossil Pokémon and is instead based on the Coelacanth, a stabilomorph, which is a species that has survived the mass extinction of all other related species.[1]
- It's unknown how Kabuto has memories of "the old days", as it was presumably revived from a fossil. Though it may also be an indication that some Kabuto didn't go extinct. In this scenario, the non-extinct Kabuto should be evolutionarily different from those that were revived.
