The Plating Scroll (Japanese: メッキの巻物) is a Scroll in Template:GameTitle. This Item is exclusive to the Mysterious Dungeon where it is relatively common. Reading this scroll will make any Shield equipped by Torneko immune to corrosion. This is indicated by the addition of a star icon before their names in the Inventory. As an additional effect, Plating Scrolls remove any Curse on the weapon.

Tips For Use

Plating Scrolls remove one of the main risk of equipping shields that can be corroded, especially from floors 10 to 20 where Horks appear. The shields with the highest Shield Strength, such as Dragon Shield or Metal Babble Shield, should be prioritized for plating. Until an Antidote Ring is found, plating a Scale Shield can be valuable to protect Torneko's Strength against Toadstool from floors 4 to 12 while preventing corrosion.

Plating Scrolls ability to remove curses is useful in a pinch, though Uncurse Scroll should be prioritized for this task.
