Torneko 1:Shield

Shields (Japanese: ???) are a type of Item that appear in Template:GameTitle. Shields can be equipped by Torneko to increase his Defense Power. As Torneko goes deeper in the Dungeons, more dangerous Monsters with increasing Attack Power are encountered. The only way to counter the increasing Damage and preserve Torneko's HP is to equip him with Shields.

All Shields have an unalterable Base Strength, and receive additional power through upgrades. The Upgrade Value number is shown next to the weapon name as +[Value] or -[Value]. The resulting value of Base Strength +/- Upgrade Value is the Shield Strength of the Shield.

Shields have a set Max Upgrade value of + 99 and a set Min Upgrade value of - 30 which cannot be exceeded.

A weapons Upgrade Value can be increased by 1 by reading a Bikill Scroll or 3 by reading a Chance Scroll. It can be decreased by 1 by Hork's Special Abilities or by Acid Traps.

Curses

Shields can be found in a Cursed state. Once equipped, they cannot be removed from Torneko normally.
