Shiren 2

Shiren 2 was the first game to feature this monster family, it contained 4 levels.

Monster families in Magic Castle GBC typically contained only 3 levels, as was the standard at the time, even in Shiren 2, as most monsters only had 3 levels max. Ashigarudon was cut, possibly due to its lack of of an ability, leaving the monster family:

  • Samuraidon - Ability:
  • Taishodon - Ability:
  • Tonosamadon - Ability:
Magic Castle DS

Starting in Shiren 1 DS, monster families typically having 4 levels became the standard. In Magic Castle DS, a new level 4 monster was created, that added the abilities of the 3 previous levels, cutting Ashigarudon out entirely.
