Weapons (Japanese: ???) are a type of Item that appear in Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon
. Weapons can be equipped by Torneko to increase his Attack Power. As Torneko goes deeper in the dungeons, his bare-handed Damage will quickly become insufficient to defeat Monsters. Equipping weapons is the most reliable way to increase his damage.
All weapons have an unalterable Base Strength, and receive additional power through upgrades. The Upgrade Value number is shown next to the weapon name as +[Value] or -[Value]. The resulting value of Base Strength +/- Upgrade Value is the Weapon Strength of the weapon.
Weapons have a set Max Upgrade value of + 99 and a set Min Upgrade value of - 30 which cannot be exceeded.
A weapons Upgrade Value can be increased by + 1 by reading a Bikill Scroll or +3 by reading a Chance Scroll.
Curses
Weapons can be found in a Cursed state. Once equipped, they cannot be removed from Torneko normally.
Dragon Sword Special Effect
The Dragon Sword is the only weapon with a special effect. When attacking a Dragon with a Dragon Sword equipped, damage from any source will first be calculated normally then multiplied by 2. This means the damage from melee attack will be doubled, but also the damage from arrows and thrown weapons.
