Gitan (Japanese: ギタン) is the currency of  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 5 - The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate. Gitan can be used to purchase Items from Town Shops and Dungeon Shops. Leftover Gitan can be stored in the Bank in Nekomaneki Village.

In Dungeons, Gitan can be picked up and put into Shiren's Inventory, or a Pot. Inventory Gitan can be thrown at Monsters to deal a large amount of damage, which is a percentage of the Gitan's value. Gitan can be used to clear out a line of Monsters, such as in a Monster House by using a Can. Arm Bracelet.

Shi-Rangers receive various rewards for depositing different amounts of Gitan at the bank.
