Abilities (Japanese: 特性, ability) are a game mechanic in
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team. Each Pokémon has an ability, occasionally a second. Abilities provide both positive and negative benefits in combat, such as Paralysis or Burn enemies. Abilities are determined by the species of the Pokémon. A Charizard can never have the Cute Charm ability and a Blastoise will never have Blaze.
