The Chintala (Japanese: チンタラ, Chintara) monster family is a recurring group of four monsters in the Template:GameTitle. It made its debut in Template:GameTitle in 1996, making them part of the Second Batch of Monster Families added to the series. They're a secondary mascot, alongside the Mamel Family, with a Chintala even appearing alongside a Mamel on the Shiren the Wanderer Pachinko Machine, Princess Suzune and the Tower of Slumber.

Related additional families include the Evil Chintala monster family that first appeared in Template:GameTitle in 2010, and two cameo appearances in the Danganronpa series, the first in 2017, under the name Monokumantala.

The Chintala Family consists of:

  1. Chintala (Japanese: チンタラ, Chintara)
  2. Mid Chintala (Japanese: ちゅうチンタラ, Chūchintara)
  3. Big Chintala (Japanese: おおチンタラ, Ōchintara)
  4. Giga Chintala (Japanese: とくだいチンタラ, Tokudai Chintara)
