Hypnotized (Japanese: 催眠) is a Status Abnormality in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
What it does
Shiren will lose control of all actions for one turn, and may randomly perform one of the following actions:
- Attacking in a random direction
- Using any Items
- Throwing any Items
- Inserting items into a Jar
- Equipping or unequipping any Weapons, Shield orArmband (attempts to remove cursed equipment will fail)
How to get affected
Get hit the special ability of a Gaze Family without a Shield with a

Because Shiren cannot chose their own actions while 'Hypnotized', and the effect only lasts for one turn, it cannot be cured.
The 'Hypnotized' status can be prevented entirely by equipping a Shiren with a
