{{For|the lore page|Shiren:Chintala Family}}

The monster family (Japanese: ) consists of name 1 (Japanese: ), 2 (Japanese: ), 3 (Japanese: ) and (Japanese ). Insert all of the fun descriptive details such as what they look like, what they do in the world, fluff, the fact that they are thief type monster and thus susceptible to such and such and the walrus shield protects from them and yadayada.
The '''Chintala''' {{JA|チンタラ||Chintara Kei}} {{Shiren1DS|Monster Family}} in {{Shiren1DSTitle}} consists of:

# Chintala {{JAnb|チンタラ||Chintara}}
# Mid Chintala {{JAnb|ちゅうチンタラ||Chūchintara}}
# Big Chintala {{JAnb|おおチンタラ||Ōchintara}}
# Giga Chintala {{JAnb|とくだいチンタラ||Tokudai Chintara}}

These monsters have a body resembling a plump white circle with cat ears and have features resembling a ''':3''' face. They have small feet and a long cat tail behind them. Depending on the monster's level, the feet, inner ears, and tip of the tail change color:

* 1-olive green
* 2-blue
* 3-orange
* 4-grey

When attacking, Chintala Family Monsters jump up and bump into their target before landing back in their initial position.

==Combat Strategy==
Nitty gritty combat information goes here!
When first encountered on floors 1 - 4 of {{Shiren1DS|Table Mountain}}, Chintalas are slightly stronger than other monsters found there, {{Shiren1DS|Mamel}} and {{Shiren1DS|Mini Robber}}. This is not an extreme difference but should be taken note of when surrounded, weaker monsters, that can be defeated by one hit should be defeated first, rather than attacking the Chintala, and be attacked by both the Mamel and Chintala in that same turn.

If there are major differences between the different levels of a monster, a separate paragraph covers that!
Being a weak melee-type monster with no special abilities, there aren't many precautions to be taken when fighting these monsters (level one Chintala Family monsters even appear on the first floors of dungeons). At higher levels though, as HP and damage increase much like other monster families, normal precautions such as a strong {{Shiren1DS|Weapon}} and {{Shiren1DS|Shield}} are recommended.

Alternatively, {{Shiren1DS|Monster Meat}} of an even weaker monster can be thrown to transform the enemy into a more easily defeated form.
Same thing as above!

Literally the same as above!
==Meat Strategy==
With no unique abilities, there is no specific benefit to {{Shiren1DS|Shiren}} consuming Chintala Family Monster Meat. Instead, low-level meat can be thrown to transform other monsters into a more easily defeated form. However, there is a chance that the Meat will miss, so it is best to do this at a distance and/or not to rely on it. There are some benefits to consuming any monster meat in general:

* Eating any Monster Meat will increase {{Shiren|fullness}} by 10 points with the exception of {{Shiren1DS|Hen Family}} Meat, which will restore fullness by 100 points.
* As a monster, {{Shiren1DS|item}}s in Shiren's inventory cannot be accessed and therefore items cannot be: {{Shiren|Introduction to Basic Gameplay|equipped, unequipped, put down, thrown, eaten, dropped}}, {{Shiren1DS|Projectile}}s, inserted or removed from {{Shiren1DS|Jar}}s and jars also cannot be pressed.
* When transforming or reverting into a monster, all {{Shiren1DS|Status Abnormalities}} can be cured, however statuses that prevent the player from acting to perform these actions cannot conventionally be cured in any way.

For the lore page, see Shiren:Chintala Family.

The Chintala (Japanese: チンタラ, Chintara Kei) Monster Family in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer consists of:

  1. Chintala (Japanese: チンタラ, Chintara)
  2. Mid Chintala (Japanese: ちゅうチンタラ, Chūchintara)
  3. Big Chintala (Japanese: おおチンタラ, Ōchintara)
  4. Giga Chintala (Japanese: とくだいチンタラ, Tokudai Chintara)

These monsters have a body resembling a plump white circle with cat ears and have features resembling a :3 face. They have small feet and a long cat tail behind them. Depending on the monster's level, the feet, inner ears, and tip of the tail change color:

  • 1-olive green
  • 2-blue
  • 3-orange
  • 4-grey

When attacking, Chintala Family Monsters jump up and bump into their target before landing back in their initial position.

Combat Strategy

When first encountered on floors 1 - 4 of Table Mountain, Chintalas are slightly stronger than other monsters found there, Mamel and Mini Robber. This is not an extreme difference but should be taken note of when surrounded, weaker monsters, that can be defeated by one hit should be defeated first, rather than attacking the Chintala, and be attacked by both the Mamel and Chintala in that same turn.

Being a weak melee-type monster with no special abilities, there aren't many precautions to be taken when fighting these monsters (level one Chintala Family monsters even appear on the first floors of dungeons). At higher levels though, as HP and damage increase much like other monster families, normal precautions such as a strong Weapon and Shield are recommended.

Alternatively, Monster Meat of an even weaker monster can be thrown to transform the enemy into a more easily defeated form.

Meat Strategy

With no unique abilities, there is no specific benefit to Shiren consuming Chintala Family Monster Meat. Instead, low-level meat can be thrown to transform other monsters into a more easily defeated form. However, there is a chance that the Meat will miss, so it is best to do this at a distance and/or not to rely on it. There are some benefits to consuming any monster meat in general:

  • Eating any Monster Meat will increase fullness by 10 points with the exception of Hen Family Meat, which will restore fullness by 100 points.
  • As a monster, items in Shiren's inventory cannot be accessed and therefore items cannot be: equipped, unequipped, put down, thrown, eaten, dropped, Projectiles, inserted or removed from Jars and jars also cannot be pressed.
  • When transforming or reverting into a monster, all Status Abnormalities can be cured, however statuses that prevent the player from acting to perform these actions cannot conventionally be cured in any way.

Monster Meat Description

  1. Chintala meat: Eat this to change into a Chintala.
  2. Mid Chintala meat: Eat this to change into a Mid Chintala.
  3. Big Chintala meat: Eat this to change into a Big Chintala.
  4. Giga Chintala meat: Eat this to change into a Giga Chintala.
