Slowed (Japanese: 鈍足) is a Status Abnormality in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
Effect on Shiren
For every turn Shiren takes with the 'Slowed' status, each turn normal speed Monsters can either have:
- Two movement turns
- One movement turn and one attacking turn
Monsters that move at double speed, but cannot normally attack twice per turn will have the choice of:
- Four movement turns
- Three movement turns and one attacking turn
- Two attacking turns.
If a single movement turn is performed, the Monster is unable to have two attacking turns.
However, Monsters that move at double speed and can attack twice per turn, which includes:
- Level 3 and 4, Death Reaper Family
- Hen Family
- Level 3 and 4 Bowboy Family
- Cranky Tanks
- Gitan Mamel
Will be able to attack Shiren four times per turn if they have not moved that turn.
How to get affected
- Trigger a Slowness Trap.
- Eat a Poison Herb.
- Get hit by the magic attack of a Skull Wraith.
- Get hit by the magic bolt of a Skull Staff with the 'slow' effect, or a Staff of Sloth reflected back at Shiren by a Air Devil Family Monster.
How to cure
- Wait 10 turns for the status to wear off. (As 10 normal turns pass, Shiren will only be able to perform actions 3-4 times.)
- Move to a different floor via the stairs or by a Pitfall Trap
- Transform into a Monster by consuming Monster Meat or by the magic attack of a Skull Wizard.
- Read a Scroll of Need.
- Get hit with the magic ability of a Skull Mage with the 'Double Speed' effect.
- Get hit by the magic bolt of an Accelerating Staff, reflected back at Shiren by an Air Devil Family Monster.
