The Death Reaper (Japanese: ノロージョ) Monster Family is a recurring group of four monsters in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Super Famicom Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995, making it one of the Original Monster Families.

The Death Reaper Family consists of:

  1. Death Reaper (Japanese: 死の使い, Shinotsukai)
  2. Hell Reaper (Japanese: 地獄の死者, Jigoku no Shisha)
  3. Death Angel (Japanese: 死神, Shinigami)
  4. Death Master (Japanese: 冥王, Meiō)

The Death Reaper Family has made a cameo appearance in the Danganronpa series in 2021, under the name Monohelper.

Biography

Characteristics

Physical Appearance

Death Reapers resemble robed figures which lack legs but have a ghost-like tail forming from their cloak, while they float slightly in the air. From what can be seen of their hooded faces, they bear a devious grin and are thin, bony monsters. Characteristic of grim reapers, these monsters always wield a tall scythe in their hands.
