The Chintala Monster Family (Japanese: チンタラ系, Chintara Kei) in Template:GameTitle consists of:
These monsters have a body resembling a plump white circle with cat ears and have features resembling a :3 face. They have small feet and a long cat tail behind them. Depending on the monster's level, the feet, inner ears, and tip of the tail change color:
When attacking, Chintala Family Monsters jump up and bump into their target before landing back in their initial position.
When first encountered on floors 1 - 4 of Table Mountain, Chintalas are slightly stronger than other monsters found there, Mamel and Mini Robber. This is not an extreme difference but should be taken note of when surrounded, weaker monsters, that can be defeated by one hit should be defeated first, rather than attacking the Chintala, and be attacked by both the Mamel and Chintala in that same turn.
Being a weak melee-type monster with no special abilities, there aren't many precautions to be taken when fighting these monsters (level one Chintala Family monsters even appear on the first floors of dungeons). At higher levels though, as HP and damage increase much like other monster families, normal precautions such as a strong Weapon and Shield are recommended.
Alternatively, Monster Meat of an even weaker monster can be thrown to transform the enemy into a more easily defeated form.
With no unique abilities, there is no specific benefit to Shiren consuming Chintala Family Monster Meat. Instead, low-level meat can be thrown to transform other monsters into a more easily defeated form. However, there is a chance that the Meat will miss, so it is best to do this at a distance and/or not to rely on it. There are some benefits to consuming any monster meat in general:
