The Armband of Calm (Japanese: 混乱よけの腕輪) is an Armband introduced in the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer.

Wearing this armband will prevent Template:ShirenPC from being inflicted with the 'Confused' status.

An Armband of Calm will protect Shiren from all causes of confusion:

• Triggering Spinning Traps.
• Eating Herbs of Confusion or when they are thrown at Shiren by Daze Radishes.
• The confusion effect from eating a Rotten Riceball.
• The confusion causing magic ability of Skull Wizards and Skull Wraiths.

The effect of this armband also persists in towns, but not while Shiren is a monster, or inflicted with the 'Riceball' status.

The effect of an Armband of Calm is included in several "rescue reward" armbands: the Alertness Armband, the Clear Armband, and the Warding Armband.

Limitations

An Armband of Calm can prevent the player from initially becoming confused, but will not cure this status if equipped while confused.

Tips for use

• With an Armband of Calm equipped, Herbs of Confusion without becoming confused and can safely be used to replenish current Fullness.
• Equip an Armband of Calm while fighting Daze Radishes to avoid confusion, which will also prevent the monster from throwing Poison Herbs.
• Because effect of this armband is only effective in niche situations, It may be a better idea to use a different armband and endure confusion effects, or only equip it when danger is imminent.
