The Wetpaint Shiren the Wanderer Wiki was a wiki created by karmarogue at 18:37 EDT on March 11, 2008. It was originally intended to only cover Shiren 1 for the Nintendo DS, but grew over time to encompass most of the "main" titles in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. A separate, Shiren 3 Wiki would later be set up, despite the wiki hosting content for other games. The wiki would eventually go on to be purchased by Wikifoundry in 2014, forked to Gamepedia in 2018, where it was upgraded to a Mystery Dungeon Wiki in 2019, and finally taken independent on November 7, 2020, where it became the MDFW. Hisory

♦ 2008

karmarogue creates the wiki on March 11, 2008 at 18:37 EDT.

♦ 2013

Sometime in July of 2013, Wikifoundry purchased Wetpaint Wikis. The URL was changed to shiren.wikifoundry.com.

♦ 2016

Sometime in 2016, the wiki was shut down by Wikifoundry due to anonymous users posting spam. Shiren1111 takes over and begin to clean up and reformat the wiki.

♦ 2018

Rhaining is made moderator due to an issue with Wikifoundry that prevented non-staff from logging in. For several months in mid-2018, users were unable to log into wikis at all. Rhaining sought out alternatives, reaching out to Gamepedia. The wiki was forked to Gamepedia on September 21.

♦ 2021

The wiki was finally shut down on June 1, 2021, when Wikifoundry canceled its service.
