The Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki Forums is a project begun on April 9, 2019 as an effort to preserve the forums of the Shiren the Wanderer Wiki. The forums extension was installed on March 2, 2023, in order to host the archived threads locally. The forums are open for regular users to post to as well, in order to foster a sense of community around the project again.
Temporary closure
On July 10, 2022, a major security issue had been identified by members of MediaWiki about the extension WikiForum. Its extension was later classified as "unstable" on June 23, 2023.[1] The Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki forums were made inaccessible for over a year in order to avoid dangerous exploits with it. The issue was addressed and fixed on January 6, 2025.[2][3]
