The Tonfan Dungeon (Japanese: トンファンの穴) is the food Dungeon in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer DS2 - Magic Castle of the Desert.

Dungeon Information

It's unlocked after finishing the main story and talking to Nfu the Demon Puppy (Japanese: ンフー) in the Tonfan Guesthouse. On the first outing, the Dungeon is cleared upon reaching the Stairs on Floor 19. If Nfu is defeated, it will be treated as defeat and the player won't be able to request a rescue. After clearing the dungeon for the first time, Nfu being defeated will no longer count as defeat.

Dungeon Strategy

The player must keep Nfu alive as Herb of Revival don't work on it. the player begins with a Bufu's Cleaver, which occasionally drops the Monster Meat of the Monsters it kills. Feeding the meat to Nfu by throwing it to it will result in it gaining that monster's special ability. Nfu can absorb 10 abilities at a time. When a new one is added, the oldest one will be removed. Abilities can be removed by throwing the same meat at it again. All Shops have special item generation: only Herbs, and Attraction Scroll will be sold. Item generation in the dungeon is likewise tweaked to generate items uniquely suited to help manipulate Nfu.
