This Sanctuary Scroll page is about the Nintendo DS release. For the Game Boy Color release, see Magic Castle GBC:Sanctuary Scroll.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Sanctuary Scroll.

The Sanctuary Scroll (Japanese: 聖域の巻物) is a Scroll in Template:GameTitle. Unlike most other scrolls, you must place this scroll on the ground to create a permanent "sanctuary" spot on the floor. While standing on a sanctuary, Monsters won't be able to attack Shiren directly; however, ranged attacks will still work. Monsters will also be unable to walk where the scroll is.

Tips For Use

  • Putting one of these in the ground can save you when surrounded, especially in Monster Houses.
    • Explosions (including exploding shells from Popster Tank's) can destroy a Sanctuary Scroll.
  • It can also be used during a theft, as Shopkeepers, Sheriffs and Guard Dogs won't be able to attack you either.
  • If a monster steps on a Sanctuary Scroll somehow, it will be defeated instantly (without giving any experience).
  • Any Sanctuary Scrolls you find on the floor will still prevent monsters from attacking you, and they can be picked up as well.
    • If you write this on a Blank Scroll from the ground, it will still have the effect and can be picked up again.
