Unanswered Lore Questions in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series.

At the beginning of Template:GameTitle, Koppa says he met Shiren six months prior. Template:GameTitle is a prequel set several years in the past, and it shows Shiren and Koppa already knew each other. In Template:GameTitle, Koppa doesn't recognize Asuka, who he met during Template:GameTitle and traveled with during Template:GameTitle, although she does recognize him. In Template:GameTitle, Koppa doesn't recognize MA-MO
, who he also met during Template:GameTitle. Many of the aforementioned games were reproposed, but the dialogue was left unaltered, meaning this was not retconned. What happened to Koppa or his memories of the events prior to the timeskip?[1][2][3]
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island
In Template:GameTitle, many pirate crews went to Serpentoil Island for searching treasures around it. The game happens shortly before Template:GameTitle, in which you can also meet a pirate named Galwin. As such, is he a member of one of the crews from the former game or he's from a different crew?
