Super MD:Tactic
Tactics (Japanese: さくせん) are a game mechanic in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon that changes the way party members other than the leader behave inside a dungeon. The player can change a Pokémon's tactic by opening the menu with X while inside a dungeon, and then choosing "Tactics Meeting" (Japanese: さくせんかいぎ). From there, the tactic of each individual Pokémon can be changed, as well as changing it for all of them at once by selecting "The entire team". The tactics of Pokémon that aren't Team members can't be changed, even if they are in the party.

Let's go together | いっしょに いこう | Any allies assigned this tactic will battle alongside the leader!
This is a good basic tactic that will make allies follow the leader and battle nearby enemies. |
Follow me | うしろに ついてきて | Any allies assigned this tactic will prioritize following their leader over battling!
As long as it stays near the leader, the Pokémon will still battle, so it's a good tactic when you want everyone to stay close in a fight. |
Don't use moves | わざを つかわないで | Any allies assigned this tactic will stick to the leader without entering any battles!
Choose this tactic when you don't want your allies to use any moves or attacks on foes! |
Go after foes | まよわず すすめ | Any allies assigned this tactic will dive into battle whenever they find an enemy.
Choose it when you want your allies to battle any and every time they find enemies! |
Go the other way | むこうは まかせた | Any allies assigned this tactic will head out and explore without sticking close to the leader.
Be careful, though. If your allies are too far away, you might not be able to save them in a pinch! |
Wait there | そのばで たいき | Any allies assigned this tactic will simply stay where they are and not go wandering off!
If a foe comes to stand right next to them, they may strike out, but they will not move otherwise! |
Get away from here | ここから にげて | Any allies assigned this tactic will do wathever they can to flee from enemy Pokémon!
Since their only goal is to get away, these allies will not use moves or items to attack foes. |
