The Pokémon Aid Agency (Japanese: ???) is a service in Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. It is accessed by talking to the Pelipper on the eastern side of Pelipper Island. It allows sending Helper Pokémon (Japanese: ???) to other players through StreetPass or over the Internet.

Sending and receiving

To send a Pokémon, the player must activate StreetPass and send it that way. Pelipper will then ask whether or not to send it through the Internet as well. Before sending the Pokémon through StreetPass, the game asks for a message to display to other players, which can be written freely with the in-game keyboard. Other players are also able to read the names of the Pokémon and the Team.

It is only possible to receive Pokémon from other players after a Pokémon has been sent. Accepting to receive Pokémon over the Internet will get all of the currently available Pokémon sent from the same region as the players. Received Pokémon can be seen from the list obtained by talking with Pelipper and selecting the third option in the menu.

While exploring a dungeon the player will then have a chance of having one of the received Pokémon as a party guest for the whole floor. The Pokémon will say the other player's message at the start of the floor and when talked to. When the floor is completed the Pokémon leaves the party and is removed from the list.

When accessing a dungeon from Pelipper Island it is also possible to use Helper Pokémon as regular party members. They can be talked to and they'll be removed from the list when leaving the dungeon.

The player can also choose to hide all messages to avoid spoilers.

Limits

This feature is region locked. The three regional releases are only able to communicate with one another.

Updating the game to its latest version is necessary to access the online portion of the Pokémon Aid Agency, however doing so will prevent access to the offline features of Meowth Theater. Deleting the update is enough to regain access to them.
