The Pelipper Mail Services (Japanese: ???) is the rescue service in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. It is accessed by talking to the Pelipper on the western side of Pelipper Island. It allows sending and receiving rescue requests to and from other players. It also lets players attempt to rescue themselves using another party. When rescuing another player, players can also send them one of their items. Mail can be sent and received through four different methods: passwords, QR Codes, local wireless and IR connection.
Getting rescued

Upon defeat in a dungeon, the player can accept to ask for a rescue. Talking to the Pelipper on the western side of Pelipper Island allows the player to send the rescue request to another player. When the other player is done with the rescue, the rescued player receives the new mail by talking to Pelipper again.

To perform a rescue, the player needs to have already visited the area, then talk to Pelipper to receive the letter. Players can also rescue themselves by simply walking towards the dungeon entrance, selecting the dungeon and completing the mission.
Sending items
When sending rescue mail, one of the following items can be sent from the player's Deposit Box to the player getting rescued. Items that can stack while in the bag (out of the ones that can be sent: Wooden Spike, Iron Spike, Gravelerock and the wands) are bundled in a maximum of 10 when selected. Sending an item is optional and not required. All single-use TMs and HMs can be sent, but not reusable ones.

Limits and version differences
Rescues in this game are region locked. A method to bypass this limit in the European and North American versions of the game was discovered by B, with further developments by EddyK28. The Japanese version is currently still incompatible with the other two versions. Japanese passwords also seem to include less information, as they are one line shorter. The only difference between European and North American passwords is that some of the characters are rearranged. QR Codes are equivalent to passwords. This has allowed the development of a tool to convert between the two.
