Donations are a game mechanic in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series.
When stationary money storage reaches its maximum capacity, the option to remove excess money is given to the player, contextualized as a donation. The recipient of the donation varies between games, and the donation itself has no effect on the gameplay other than removing excess money.
