Pkmn:Expedition Society

The Expedition Society (Japanese: ポケモン調査団(ちょうさだん), Pokémon Investigation Team) is an organization in the Pokémon World featured in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. It is a worldwide investigation organization that solves the problems of other Pokémon. They investigate the Pokémon World and its history, discovering new Continents and Pokémon, and store the information in the Pokémon Nexus. Their headquarters are in Lively Town.

History

The Expedition Society had a major role in investigating the strange events that led to Pokémon being turned to stone, and eventually saved the Pokémon world from Dark Matter.

Based on the Japanese name, the Expedition Society also appears to be briefly mentioned by Grovyle in In the Future of Darkness, with the name planetary investigation team (Japanese: ほしのちょうさだん).

Mawile is shown to be researching a mysterious Unknown Landmass.

Rules

There are 10 laws of the Expedition Society, and there may also be additional rules. Children used to not be allowed as members, however this rule was removed.

Equipment

Members of the Expedition Society carry a Connection Orb, an Expedition Badges, an Expedition Bag, and an Expedition Gadget. The last three items also come in Junior variations, meant for child members of the Expedition Society. Members carry multiple Expedition Badges, as they can be given to other Pokémon to allow them to become allies of the Expedition Society.
