Mastersword (Japanese: どうたぬき), later known as Dotanuki or the Masakuni sword, is a Weapon in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995. Masterswords are a wider blade Katana, made by a master swordmaker Genba Dotanuki.
An improved version called the Master X can be obtained in Shiren 1 for the Nintendo DS which later became the Level 6 Dotanuki in Shiren 5, localized as the Fine Dotanuki in Shiren 5 for the PlayStation Vita.
