The Halberd Shield
(Japanese: 矛の盾) is a Shield in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. The Halberd Shield debuted in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion in 2000. It's similar in design and function to the Power Shield that appeared in Magic Castle of the Desert.
When equipped by the player, the Halberd Shield raises both Attack and Defense. It's two-handed and can't be fused into other shields, so it can only be used as a base for Fusion. Due to the limited number of Rune slots, and the inability to fuse weapon runes, it's only viable for early-dungeon gameplay.
