Jar of Holding (Japanese: 保存の壺), later known as Holding Jar and Preservation Pot, is a Jar in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995.

When used during gameplay, items can be stored inside of them and retrieved freely for later use. Other jars require the use of an Extraction Scroll or have to be broken to retrieve items from them. While they're excellent for keeping Riceballs safe from traps that might turn them into Rotten Riceballs, other items, such as the Herb of Revival won't function if they're inside of a jar. In earlier Shiren titles, items placed inside of Jars of Holding will be lost if the jar is left at a Warehouse.
