Talking Animals refers to animals that are capable of human speech in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. Talking animals are able to communicate with normal animals, and translate their language.

Many talking sparrows live in Sparrow's Inn. A sparrow in Nekomaneki Village operates the Sparrow's Shuttle service. Some sparrows may also live elsewhere, as seen with a sparrow that visits Sparrow's Inn to visit a friend.

Many talking tanukis are found in Nekomaneki Village and surrounding areas. They are merchants.

Weasels/Ferrets

Talking weasels/ferrets have become rare over the years.
