The Schubell (Japanese: シューベル) monster family is a recurring group of four monsters in the Template:GameTitle. It made its debut in Template:GameTitle in 1995, making it one of the Original Monster Families.
The Schubell Family has made a cameo appearance in the Danganronpa series in 2021, under the name Monobel.
The Schubell Family consists of:
- Schubell (Japanese: シューベル, Shūberu)
- Menbell (Japanese: メンベルス, Menberusu)
- Bellthoven (Japanese: ベルトーベン, Berutōben)
- Showpin (Japanese: ショーパン, Shōpan)
Biography
Characteristics
Physical Appearance
Schubell Family Monsters are small, marshmallow-shaped creatures with stubby arms and legs that carry around a large bell in their right hand. Customary to their theme of composers, the Schubell Family Monsters have neat middle-parted hair which was popular at that time and instead of a mouth, these monsters have a bow tie.
Name Etymology
As their names suggest, they are based on composers from the 1700s and 1800s: Schubell-Franz Schubert, Menbell-Felix Mendelssohn, Bellthoven-Ludwig van Beethoven, and Showpin-Frédéric Chopin, though their names have been modified to contain 'bell' to connect with this monster's ability and appearance.
