Mysteriosity (Japanese: 不思議) is a game mechanic in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It is available in most dungeons after it is unlocked post-credits. Some dungeons are only accessible through Mysteriosity.
Mechanics
Dungeons where Mysteriosity is available have a random level on each in-game day when accessed from the Crossroads, however jobs have a Mysteriosity level tied to them that stays the same regardless of the day. Mysteriosity levels can go from 1 to 5.
Effects
When going to a floor of a dungeon affected by Mysteriosity there is a chance to trigger a variety of effects. On each floor there is either no effect, one single effect, or two effects.
Enemies stronger or weaker than usual means they are leveled up or down respectively.

Categories
Each effect belongs in one of three categories. Effects in the Single category always happen alone, while effects in the Combo categories happen in pairs of two effects, one from the first category, and one from the second.
If the first effect is "Enemies are weaker than usual!", then the second effect cannot be "Enemies are stronger than usual!".
If the first effect is "Enemies have slowed down!", then the second effect cannot be "Enemies' speed has gone up!".
Strange Power
Between two floors, the player might be temporarily sent to another dungeon for a few floors. When this happens, the game displays the message "A strange power made you wander into a mysterious place!". It seems to be more likely to happen at higher Mysteriosity levels, and the destination depends on the current dungeon and floor.
Strange Power Dungeons
This section is under construction or in need of expansion. You can help the Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki by expanding it. |
One of the effects takes the player to another dungeon, or an alternate, illusory version of the current dungeon, for a certain amount of floors. The dungeon that is temporarily accessed seems to depend on dungeon and floor the Mysteriosity effects takes place on.
Uncharted Road
There are three types of Uncharted Road dungeons. Pokémon from the Species Selection can be found here, making them the best places to recruit them without DLC.

Gilded Halls
There are three types of Gilded Halls, two of which are Inner Chambers, where Tornadus and Thundurus can be recruited.

Glacier Palace, Glacier Palace Eastern Spire, and Glacier Palace Western Spire can only be accessed during certain parts of the story. These mirage dungeons offer an alternative to them. Glacier Palace Great Spire is also story exclusive, but has no Mirage equivalent.
