Downloadable content (Japanese: ???), or DLC for short, used to be available for purchase by players in 
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, using Nintendo eShop credit. DLC includes dungeons, item graphics and music tracks from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team Soundtrack and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness Soundtrack / Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Soundtrack. Each DLC contains two tracks, one that is used in the associated dungeon and one that replaces the main menu music. The tracks can also be listened to in Music Paradise. The DLC that contains the dungeon Poké Forest was free for a limited time.
The menu to buy DLC can be accessed from the Main Menu. Foongus, the DLC Guide in Post Town, can inform about the DLC and bring the player back to the menu where it can be bought. The DLC menu uses unique graphics not seen elsewhere in the game.
If the DLC is uninstalled or the SD card is removed, DLC-exclusive dungeons can't be played, and players who Quick Saved inside a dungeon are forced to leave. Items that can only be found in DLC dungeons can still be used if the DLC is uninstalled or the SD card is removed. They will display as a question mark with the name "Mysterious Item".

Delisting
The ability to purchase content from the Nintendo 3DS eShop was removed on March 28, 2023 at 00:00 UTC.
Oversights
- While the full set of DLC was available for each region that received DLC, for the regions UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, the DLCs Mt. Travail and Skill Treasury were not listed on the DLC page of the eShop, and instead only appeared in the in-game shop.
