Rescue Mechanics differ between games in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. This page aims to document and clarify these differences. Rescues were first introduced in the Mystery Dungeon Franchise in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB2: Magic Castle of the Desert. In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles they made their first appearance in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team in 2005.
