(Japanese: とげドラゴン) Monster Family is a group of three monsters in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Gaiden - Asuka the Swordswoman in 2002, making it part of the Fifth Batch of Monster Families
. Its most recent appearance was in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Gaiden - Asuka the Swordswoman for Windows in 2002.
The Spike Dragon Family consists of:
- Spike Dragon (Japanese: とげドラゴン)
- Earth Needle (Japanese: アースニードル)
- Thunder Lance (Japanese: サンダーランス)
