Slay the Gold Guardians (Japanese: 金鉱の守護者を倒してくれ) is a Quest in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. This quest is a DLC quest which means that it is not available without buying the DLC with the name of this quest. This quest is the only way to see Gold Guardians.
What must be done
To complete this quest you must defeat 5 Gold Guardians in any dungeons. If a Gold Guardian is killed with Failsafe System or with Poison it does not count toward the completion of this quest. Contrary to what is said in the quest description, it is not necessary to defeat them with increased speed.

Niralda: They say the Gold Guardian is a vicious monster that can knock out an adventurer's defense. I've heard it defeats a lot of adventurers who get greedy and careless. You bums better not fall for that. But... why's the captain offering such a puny reward? He's gotta be up to something...
Reporting the Quest
Niralda: Good job! I see you beat five of those things all told. Did you make lots of money while you were at it? Well, don't tell the captain. I think he's hoping to get a bigger cut than the reward he offered. I understand why he's saving up, since he wants his own skyship, but I think that's asking too much. Instead of giving him a share, how about we say he's a great guy who posted a reward just to thin out the monsters? You know how he is. He'll probably say, 'Hey, that's not right!' and turn it into a funny story.
