Poison (Japanese: ) is an ailment in Etrian Mystery Dungeon.

Effects

A character or monster affected by Poison will loose 20 HP at the end of each turn. It will also be slowed. The effects of Poison can be cured by 5~ turns, or by using any skills or items that cure ailments or by using Antidote Pill.

How is it inflicted

Classes

  • Hexer's Poison Curse inflicts Poison for 5 turns at Lv 1,2 and 3 and for 6 turns at Lv 4 and 5.
  • Ninja's Ninpo: Caltrops inflicts Poison for 3 turns at Lv 1 and 2, for 4 turns at Lv 3 and 4, for 6 turns at Lv 5 and 6, and for 7 turns at Lv 7 and 8.

Monsters

  • Arbor Beetle's Poison Pollen can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Demented King's Feast of Venom can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Gasser Tree's Poisonous Bind can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Greedy Lizard's Poison Barb can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Iron Golem's Poison Shot can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Rafflesia's Poison Dust can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Sky Kaiser's Resistless Chaos can inflict Poison.
  • Soldier Bee's Poison Sting can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Toxic Lizard's Poison Shot, Poison Burst and Poison Tail can inflict Poison for 5 turns.
  • Venomfly's Poison Scales can inflict Poison for 5 turns. turns.
  • Venomshroom's Poison Spores can inflict Poison for 5 turns. turns.

Items

  • Weapons with the Poison effect can Poison monsters when an attack hits a monster. This effect can be added to weapons by Forging them.
  • Poison Knife is a Sword that can inflict Poison without forging.
  • Poison Pill inflicts Poison for 5 turns.

Tips

Poison can be used to inflicts more damage to Claw Beetle, Flying Beetle, Beetle Lord, Pooka, Red Pooka and Gold Guardian which otherwise take 2 or 1 damage from every attack.
