Clumsy (Japanese: 拾えず) is an ailment in Etrian Mystery Dungeon.

Effects

A character affected by Clumsy cannot pick up items from the ground. It wears off when the player changes floors.

How is it inflicted

Clumsy can only be inflicted by reading a Fumble Scroll.

Tips

It's an ailment that only affect the player when using an item found only in Mysterious Forest and Phantom Depths, where scrolls are unidentified. As scrolls are identified after you've read them once, it's best to read scrolls to identify them. To reduce the negative effects, it's best to do this after exploring the floor and being ready to take stairs to change zones. Since the scroll will be identified afterward, this ailment will likely affect the player once per dungeon exploration.
