An online advertisement for the DLC.

Add-On Content (Japanese: 追加コンテンツ) is content that was available for purchase by players in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. DLC acts as a resource that can be used for fundraising, and convenient dishes are added, among other things. It was intended to make the game easier. For a limited time in Japan, the DLC was made available for free. It was originally intended to be "free" until March 31, 2015, but due to a retailer shortage, the free DLC offer was instead extended to April 15, 2015. Prior to the English release, Atlus announced via Twitter that all DLC would be free for the first month, starting on April 7, 2015.

Delisting

Prior to its delisting, the DLC could be downloaded before starting a save file from the main menu but the player is required to progress past a certain point in the story before it can be used.

As of March 26, 2023, while the game is delisted from the European eShop since ^{[Research required]} and the list of DLC can't be seen, however the in-game shop menu that is used to buy DLC can actually be accessed and it seems to be possible to purchase DLC. The ability to purchase content from the Nintendo 3DS eShop was removed on March 28, 2023 at 00:00 UTC. The menu can still be accessed in the European version, however, prices no longer appear, and the BUY button is greyed out and can't be used.
