Floors (Japanese: ???) are the areas where most of the gameplay in Nintendo Switch/Steam Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island takes place. Dungeons are made of floors. Floors have a tile grid and they are turn based. Their appearance is different depending on the Adventure, unless played through Rescues or Paralllel Play. In most dungeons, the goal of the player is to reach the last floor, which is usually done by taking the Stairs, Exits, or Byways to another (usually the next) floor of the dungeon, until the end is reached. Pitfall Trap and Floor-exiting Trap can also lead to the next floor.

Types of Floors

There are two types of floors: shuffle floors and random floors.

Shuffle floors are outside areas of dungeons. Walls can't be destroyed.

Random floors are the inside areas. The layouts are fully randomized. Walls can be destroyed.
