Fear (Japanese: テラー) is an ailment in Etrian Mystery Dungeon.
Effects
A character or monster affected by Fear will sometimes be unable to act. The effects of Fear can be cured by 5~ turns, or by using any skills or items that cure ailments.

Classes
- Hexer's Blast Skill Oban's Curse inflicts Fear.
- Hexer's Evil Eye can inflict Fear for 5 turns at Lv 1,2 and 3 and for 6 turns at Lv 4 and 5.
Monsters
- Blood Tiger's Terrifying Heat can inflict Fear for 5 turns.
- Dinolich's Terrifying Roar can inflict Fear for 5 turns.
- Sky Kaiser's Resistless Chaos can inflict Fear.
- Storm Emperor's Corrupt Howl can inflict Fear for 5 turns.
Items
- Weapons with the Fear effect can inflict Fear to monsters when an attack hits a monster. This effect can be added to weapons by Forging them.
- Dark Saker and Selena are Guns that can inflict Fear without forging.
- Khakkhara is a Staff that can inflict Fear without forging.
- Durandal and Macuahuitl are Swords that can inflict Fear without forging.
Tips
Hexer's Skills Suicide Word, Conflict Word and Muting Word have effect only on monsters that are affected by Fear.
