Types (Japanese: タイプ) are a game mechanic in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Each Pokémon has one or two types, and each move (except for Attack and Struggle) has one type.

When attacking a Pokémon with a move, the type of the move affects the damage done to the target.
