Devolution (Japanese: ???) is a game mechanic in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. When a Pokémon devolves, it goes down to its lowest evolutionary stage. Enemy Pokémon devolve when a Devolve Orb is used on them. Devolving may be useful for recruiting Pokémon whose previous stage is harder to find or recruit.

Trivia
- Using a Devolve Orb on a Pokémon doesn't just devolve it, but it also reduces its level to 1, even if the Pokémon didn't devolve.
