The initial title screen.

The Title Screen (Japanese: ???) is a screen displayed upon booting up Nintendo Switch/Steam Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island.

It first appears at the beginning of the game, after the first story scene, when Shiren and Koppa reach Serpentcoil Island. After that, it appears every time the game is launched, and it features a menu where the player can either proceed to the Top Menu, or manage and select a different diary (save file). The depiction of Serpentcoil Island in the background behind the title can be viewed by holding the specified button, and it changes when certain Story Arcs are completed. Once a Story Arc that changes its look is completed, its look stays the same even when switching to another save file, but can be changed by deleting the save file that has more progress.

Background

The background visuals and the ambient sounds that play after the intro music are different depending on how far into the game the player has progressed. There are 4 variations of the title screen.

Initial

Serpentcoil Island initially appears in the sea.

Serpentcoil Island

After the Serpentcoil Island story arc is completed, the island begins to float in the sky.

Reconciliation
