For a full list of Behemoths, see Shiren 6:List of Behemoths.

Behemoths (Japanese: デッ怪) are giant variations of monsters in Nintendo Switch/Steam Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island. Instead of a single tile, they occupy 3x3 tiles. They have high attack power, but are slow. They appear from Behemoth Gates (Japanese: デッ怪ホール) and disappear after a while. Behemoth Gates also disappear after a while, and reappear at a different location on the same floor. If the player enters every room of the floor once, all Behemoths and Behemoth Gates disappear from the current floor entirely.

Behemoths are protected by the Behemoth Barrier (Japanese: デッ怪バリア), which is in front of them, in the direction they are facing, and nullifies attacks, meaning they can't be attacked from the front and side, but can be attacked from behind. In a corridor, the Behemoth Barrier can also protect the monster from a Confusion Scroll, although it does work in rooms.

Behemoths normally spawn in the level 1 form of the monster, however they can level up when possessed by normal Ghost Samurai monsters.

Behemoths can be easily defeated by throwing a Rock or Porky's Rock, even when in front of them or if there are walls in between.
