Floors (Japanese: ???) are where gameplay takes place in Dungeons in /
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island. Dungeon gameplay is turn-based and takes place on a tile grid, the layout of which changes with each visit while Rescues or Paralllel Play will feature a set floor layout. The floor's terrain changes are set internally and usually act as more of a theme than a gameplay element, however, this isn't always the case.
In most dungeons, the goal of the player is to reach the last floor, which is usually done by taking the Stairs, Exits, or Byways to another (usually the next) floor of the dungeon, until the end is reached. Pitfall Trap and Floor-exiting Trap can also lead to the next floor.
Types of Floors
There are two types of floors: shuffle floors and random floors.
Shuffle floors are outside areas of dungeons. Walls can't be destroyed.
Random floors are the inside areas. The layouts are fully randomized. Walls can be destroyed.
