Curses (Japanese: ???) are a game mehcanic in Template:GameTitle. It's a condition applied to items which prevents them from being used, or in case of Weapons, Shields and Bracelets, prevents them from being unequipped. If an item is unidentified, it is possible for it to be cursed. The Curse Girl monster family can curse the player's items. Curses can be removed by reading an Exorcism Scroll, normally removing the curse from a selected item, but also with a chance of removing curses from all items currently in the inventory. A curse on a weapon or shield can also be removed by reading a Plating Scroll on it, or a Heavenly Scroll on a weapon, or a Earthly Scroll on a shield. The Exorcist Pilgrim Roamer randomly encountered in dungeons can also remove a curse from one item, which costs 500 Gitan. Concluding an Adventure removes curses from all items in the inventory.
