Team Attack (Japanese: ???) is a game mechanic in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It is unlocked after completing Desolate Canyon early on in the story, when the hero and partner form their team and receive Team Badges, which are necessary to perform Team Attacks.

Using a Team Attack

While adventuring in a dungeon, if the player's party consists of more than one Pokémon, they will become in sync. When the party is fully in sync, a yellow Team Badge icon to the left of the leader's name on the top screen. When this happens, a Team Attack can be used by holding L and pressing the big button that appears on the touch screen. After it's used, it will take a while before the party is fully in sync again. Trying to use a Team Attack when there are no enemies nearby simply displays a message saying that it can't be used, without removing the possibility to use it later.

Sync

While the sync value isn't shown to the player, it can be analyzed using hacking tools. The value goes from 0 to 4000, and resets back to 0 when a Team Attack is used. It increases on each turn when certain things happen, such as walking.

Sync increases on a turn during which the following happen. (Incomplete list, [Research required]).
