The Recovery Armband (Japanese: 回復の腕輪) is an Armband introduced in the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1.

You will recover 5 HP per turn, but current Fullness will decrease twice as fast, from normally 1% every 10 turns down to 5 turns. The effect of a Recovery Armband is included in two of "rescue reward" armbands: the Berserk Armband, and the Revival Armband. The effect of this armband does not apply in towns, or while Shiren is a monster or under the 'Riceball' status.

Limitations

Under the 'No Natural Recovery' status, an equipped Recovery Armband will not provide healing, but will still double fullness loss.

HP will not recover and will still decrease each turn when Shiren is Hungry or under the 'Hit Point Drain' status.

Tips for use

  • Equip a Recovery Armband when fighting Monsters, but due to it's fullness decreasing effect, unequip it when Shiren's HP is full or when not fighting.
  • A Hide Shield Seal File:Shiren 1 DS Shield Seal Hunger.png (hide) will cancel out the increased current fullness decrease, resulting in a normal 1% per 10 turns.
  • Shiren will recover 5 HP on the turn that the armband is equipped, though this occurs after Monsters have consumed their turn.
  • To tolerate the increased fullness decrease, only equip this armband when healing is required.
  • Equip during combat or on floors with powerful or ranged monsters, such as Dragons or Piggy's.

Things to Avoid

An Armor Ward Seal File:Shiren 1 DS Shield Seal Heavy.png (heavy) will further double fullness loss with a Recovery Armband, up to 1% after every 3, then 2 turns alternating.
