Lugia
Lugia (Japanese: ルギア) is a Legendary Pokémon that appears in / Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team. It's the Boss of Silver Trench, a dungeon unlocked after the Legendary Bird Trio is recruited.
Plot
After the player recruits Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, when they talk to Alakazam, it'll say that there is something going on with the Legendary Island, and tells the player to check the island since it's their Friend Area. Upon reaching the Legendary Island, the trio flies up and gathers next to the player. They create the Vortex Stone and say the player should calm the sea.
When the player reaches floor 99 of Silver Trench, Lugia appears and, like Rayquaza, asks the player why they've come to Silver Trench. It says if the player dares to challenge it to a battle, it'll accept the challenge, but only if the player fights it with every bit of their power. Unlike most Legendary Pokémon, it can be recruited on the first try and is certain to ask to join the team if there is still space for it.[Citation needed]

Part of this page's history has been imported from the PMD Rescue Team Wiki. On September 11, 2019, the Gamepedia Shiren the Wanderer Wiki became the Gamepedia Mystery Dungeon Wiki. As part of the unification project between Fandom and Gamepedia, we absorbed the Rescue Team Wiki and its page histories. Some pages were originally deemed unworthy of being imported and were left behind. We've since imported them with the intent to preserve the edits and history of this community and its contributions, as well as to build upon them. In some cases, these pages have been created again by editors of the MDFW, and the Rescue Team page histories were imported into them at a later date. You can check if this is the case by visiting the page's history.
